Great points. This would also apply to nonfiction genres like memoir. One of my friends who is a school teacher told me about an interesting exercise she does with students studying first lines and titles of books. Both equally important. I think sometimes you just need to push through a first draft and worry about those first pages a little later or you get into an analysis paralysis situation and don’t get into writing mode. That has been my experience!
