I was skeptical when I saw the title but I totally agree — while I wouldn’t give up total music in part because I only listen to music with intention to enjoy it, I do agree that working in silence is much more productive. I’ve never studied or worked with music on my entire life and is also why I can’t understand how people claim to get so much done at coffee shops! I’ve learned to handle the distraction but it is a distraction after all. I do love audio though, also I am pretty sure those who listen to things on 2x don’t get as much out of it so don’t feel too behind Megan. Listening to things is wonderful but it’s natural for the mind to drift when you can do something else simultaneously.
